Health, Even When You’re On The Go

Your teeth are one of the first things someone notices about you, and one of the best tools in your life! The next time you’re biting into an apple or enjoying a sour gummy worm, think about what you’re doing to keep those pearly whites healthy and strong. Our office at Third Coast Family Dental understands that sometimes life happens and we might miss a nightly brushing or flossing, or feel too busy to go to the dentist. But when those pesky small cavities can grow into big problems seemingly overnight, it’s important to do your best to take care of your smile with preventive tips and six-month checkups, even if you don’t feel a problem yet. Whether it’s been awhile since you’ve seen the dentist, or you have a dental concern, we not only help treat your dental needs, but we help set you up for success down the line.

Conservative Dentistry. Prevention At Home.

Because we focus on conservative treatment, our dental practice is determined to help you get the treatment you need, without the extra funny business! When caring for your teeth, we’ll always be honest, upfront, and ready to explain your dental needs and options in easy to understand ways. At Third Coast Family Dental, we partner with you to restore dental needs before they develop into larger pains in your mouth and in your wallet! If our family can help yours to enjoy visiting the dentist by improving your health and educating you on ways to practice preventive care, then we’ve truly succeed as health care providers and a reliable team.

5 Ways to Protect Your Teeth Between Visits:

  • Brush twice daily and floss once daily
  • Choose tooth-healthy foods and drinks
  • Drink more water and less staining drinks
  • Reduce eating starchy and sugary foods
  • Reduce or avoid smoking

Why Six Month Checkups?

Six month checkups don’t happen simply because we miss you (although we do!). Your six month appointment is more important than you might think. When your dentist and the American Dental Association recommend a visit every six months, they do so because the health of your teeth and gums is imperative to your overall health. When your dental health suffers, you may be more at risk for developing heart disease, stroke, respiratory problems, diabetes, and a number of other concerning health risks. At your dental appointment, Our Doctors will use advanced dental technology to assess your dental health and watch for signs and symptoms of further health conditions. Whether you come in every six months but haven’t known why, or are coming in after avoiding the dentist for some time, you can rest easy knowing our staff is watching out for your health.

Caring for Your Teeth is Easy With Us

Brushing and flossing are great ways to prevent dental problems at home, but sometimes only advanced, professional grade care can help. The next time you go to the dentist, you don’t want to hear that you have cavities that have gotten serious–you want to be excited to hear that your teeth are healthy and well taken care of! By practicing a good, regular hygiene regimen at home and coming in every six months for a checkup, you’ll become more excited to see the dentist and hear the good news about your dental health.
