Dental Veneers

A Perfect Fix That Lasts

Our dental veneers, which are often made of a high grade porcelain or ceramic material, consist of thin, tooth-colored shells that bond directly to the front surface of your teeth to fix chips and cracks, irregularly shaped teeth, and even seal discolorations that cannot be fixed with regular teeth whitening services. Because dental veneers are simple to place and can last many years, their high versatility makes them a favorite choice among patients who want to improve their smile both quickly and effectively.

Who Gets Dental Veneers?

Veneers can be a popular choice for patients of most ages and dental conditions because they are so versatile and easy to place, often preferred as an option between bonding or dental crowns. You might be an excellent candidate for dental veneers if you have experienced damage to your teeth, have irregularly shaped teeth, or are otherwise hoping to improve the cosmetic look of your smile. Because dental veneers require about .5mm tooth reduction to smoothly fit onto a tooth, they are considered to be a nonreversible treatment. Once veneers are placed, they are highly stain resistant, cavity resistant, and can last over a decade with proper care.

Before the Procedure

When Our Doctors sits down with you for your first appointment, she will examine your current dental concerns and assess your medical history. After a dental exam to discover your current dental condition, Our Doctors will discuss with you every treatment option that is available, finding exactly the right fit for your specific needs. If dental veneers are chosen as the right form of treatment for your needs, the procedure is highly efficient and simple to do. After taking X-rays and color-matching your ideal veneers to your existing teeth, it is ready to begin treatment.

Our Dental Veneer Process

During your veneer procedure, Our Doctors will ensure that the process has been explained properly so that you may feel comfortable and confident ahead of time. A local anesthetic may not be necessary, but can be administered to further reduce any anxiety and to prevent any pain. Our Doctors will then remove about a half millimeter of tooth enamel from the tooth, where the new veneer will be placed. An impression will be made of your teeth to create the best fitting veneer for your new smile, and a temporary veneer may be placed while your veneer is made. At your next appointment, Our Doctors will check the fit, color, and placement of your new veneer. Placing your new veneers is simple as they are permanently bonded into place, letting you enjoy your regular eating, speaking, and smiling stress-free.

After the Procedure

Congratulations on your confident, radiant smile! To continue feeling great in your radiant new smile for years to come, it’s highly recommended that you create or maintain a good dental hygiene system and visit the dentist every six months for a checkup. Dental veneers are incredibly strong, but it’s important that you avoid using them as a tool, such as to open bags or bite into hard, non-food items. Your veneers will be cavity-resistant, stain-resistant, and with proper care will be able to last you many years.
